Sidewalks in Cypress
The Plan

First, we need support - both vocally and
financially.  Write your HOA's and Mud
Districts to let them know your opinion on
sidewalks!

Sign our Show Support!
Sustainable Living in Houston - a non-profit environmental conservation group, promoting sustainable living through everyday actions by ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
We work on all issues relating to our environment such as recycling, complete streets, local sustainability, and water conservation to name a few!
The National Center for Safe Routes
to School and TX-DOT work
together with local communities to
bring safe passageways for kids to
get to school.

If your school does not have
sidewalks and you are interested in
spearheading  a movement,
contact
Jennifer Armentrout.

Complete Streets
An issue recently garnering attention involves the
lack of safe pedestrian passageways.  Area residents
want and need the ability to safely walk or bike to
work, shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and
schools.  Teenagers, the elderly, and those without a
car for transportation are often forced to walk
through high grass, construction, ditches or even on
the road itself to reach their destinations.

We hope, with assistance from grants, donations,
and Harris County, to help facilitate the installation
of sidewalks or trails on major roads.

It started with a request from a
mother who wanted to walk with her
children for ice cream.
